Help establish the month of June as "National Spiritual Diversity Month" in the US

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to make you all aware of a project that Todd Berntson, Author ? Filmmaker ? Mystic is working on.

He is the documentary filmmaker who is producing the film "A Hero Denied" (HeroDenied.com) which is the story of Sgt. Patrick Stewart, the Wiccan soldier who was killed in Afghanistan and the struggle to get the pentacle approved by the VA as a religious symbol.

He has started a project called 1,000 Symbols which is a program to promote the celebration of spiritual diversity in this country, and are working hard to get as many people to participate as possible.

His primary goal this year is to have the month of June designated as "National Spiritual Diversity Month." The US is one of the few industrialized nations that does not have an officially recognized national day/week/month for religious tolerance or spiritual diversity. Well, he is trying to change that.

What's this about?

The Sioux chief Red Cloud taught that there are many paths to the Great Spirit. There are many ways that we can understand and have a relationship to the divine. As the world continues to get smaller and more and more people of all religious faiths are becoming neighbors, it is as important as ever for all of us to embrace the diversity of spiritual paths that reflect the diversity within the human race.

In an effort to facilitate understanding, cooperation, and respect between peoples of all faith practices, a growing number of artists, musicians, writers, as well as business and spiritual leaders from around the country have decided to designate the month of June as "National Spiritual Diversity Month" month.
