Welcome to The Vancouver Druid Meetup. I'd like to use this website from time to time to put out a little bit of information about Druid Festivals and accompanying rituals or ceremonies. I take most of my information from the study material of OBOD.

The next Festival this year will be Winter Solstice which occurs on Dec. 21st at 9:47 am PST. This is an important Pagan festival that essentially celebrates the Return of Light to the Earth as it is at this point that the days begin to grow longer. On this day if you chose to do some form of ritual you could turn out all the lights in your house and at Solstice time light a single candle. Sit in silence for a while and meditate. Pray for the trees as trees were sacred to Druids. It is said that the Druids worship trees but this is not so. Instead they worship WITH the trees.

As a group we are not in the habit of actually physically meeting. Instead we need to think of a meeting of the minds. Please share with us why you joined this group. What is it that attracted you to Druidry?
